OHDEN Gets Recognized In QST

Hey Gang,

Did you see the OHDEN article in the latest edition of QST? It’s titled “Buckeye Digital” and appears on page 52. Eldon, W5UHQ, Net Manager of OHDEN, OHio Digital Emergency Net, worked with Steve Ford throughout the summer on this article. I do want to mention that the website listed is no longer available. You can find them on Facebook page instead, here’s the link:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/OHDEN/

NIMS / ICS Training

Hey Gang, our numbers are growing steadily, as of January 22nd we have 578 ARES Members with various certs turned in. We can also brag on the fact that we have 380 that have completed all 4 of the needed classes and  3,808 total classes registered in the statewide database. Here’s a link to the database

I am finding that some of you haven’t forwarded your certificates to us yet. Please, get them to me. I want every ARES member to have at least these 4 basic courses completed, and copies of your certificates entered into our database. Want to take more? Fantastic!! Remember, this training is FREE, and you do most of it from the comforts of your home!

The list shows those who have all 4 certificates turned in. If you don’t see your name on the list, send them to me  n8sy@n8sy.com   Now even if you haven’t gotten all 4 of these courses in, we still need you to get what you do have turned in to us so that we can get you started on your way.

The Ohio Section has taken a lead in the country with this and really dug its heals in and has done a great job of completing this training. Let’s keep it going for 2017!!

Hey Gang.. If you didn’t know, Zane Grey was an author and master of the American western novel and he was an Ohio born dentist. Pearl Zane Grey spent many years under the Mogollon Rim writing "To The Last Man" and a dozen other Westerns with Arizona settings and characters. His prolific writings popularized the American cowboy as a taciturn, romantic figure.
